How can I find "options-General" on the email to fix my emails that only show 3 or 4 and the rest says Welcome to Thunderbird and hides the rest of my emails
Can only retrieve about 3 or 4 emails when I click on. The rest of them are covered with blue box that starts "Welcome to Thunderbird" with all info about Thunderbird. I was able to get some help as follows: go to: Options-General - Clear the Checkbox for displaying the Start Page. I am not computer savvy and I can't find where to click on "Options-General" on the email account in order to try to fix this. Can you take me step-by-step on this procedure. Thank you so much!

If using the Menu Bar, normally hidden but is revealed by pressing the alt key, select Tools-Options.
If using the AppMenu button (3 horizontal lines) click that button, hover over Options and then click Options.
I found and selected the Tools-Options. However, the Options screen shows across the top the following: General Display, Composition, Chat, Privacy, Security, Attachments, Advanced and Calendar. Then the body of the screen, but I don't know what to click on next. Sorry, I told you I was a novice. Thanks

Well since this was a part of your question I just assumed you would figure out what to do when you got to options. The other thread that you posted on said you could not find option to click on General and Clear the Checkbox for displaying the Start Page.
I got to Tools then the page says "Thunderbird Start Page" after I clicked on General ...
It then says: When Thunderbird Launches, show the Start Page in the message area. What do I do next? Please Help!
Maybe I do not understand what you are trying to accomplish. i thought you did not want to see the start page. If so uncheck that option.
If not state what your issue is.
I got to the Start Page - I just need to know what to do next on this Page. In other words, what do I uncheck on this page in order to get my emails back which are now hidden by Thunderbird. Please take me step-by-step on this page. Thank you.
