I am getting bombarded with popup adds, 5 or 6 +at once, every time I open a website in firefox. I have it set to block popups but they still come. This has only happened since the latest update. It is so bad that it blew out my internet data usage to double my normal use and I am now having to use Internet Explorer as an alternative. A definite issue when I'm trying to work on a new website I'm setting up and all my bookmarks are on Firefox.

I had my internet provider help me clear some unwanted programs but it didn't help.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
