how do i log in to firefox sync if i've forgotten my secret phrase?

i registered for firefox sync and have my username and password, but i can't recall my secret phrase.

That secret phrase is only used locally to encrypt the data before it is uploaded to the Sync server. You login to that server with the user name and password. You can reset or set a new secret phase, but if you do then all data on the sync server will be removed.
