Is there a way open a second tab (or additional tabs) for a website that I am already logged in to, and be already logged in on the new tab?

When I want more than one page of a website open in different tabs, so I can work back and forth between the pages, I have to log in on each tab. Is there a way to be logged in and open additional tabs that are already logged in? I have tried right-clicking the tab and choosing "Duplicate" but the login status does not appear to carry to the new tab.

All you have to do it to right-click on a link and select Open New Window or Open New Tab.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, while that does open a new tab and tries to go to the website I am using, it does not open a logged in instance of the website. On the new tab I have been getting either a 404 error or the login page for the website.

My desire is to avoid having to log into the same site for each tab.

Hi David, normally sites keep you logged in using cookies, and all the tabs in the same window share the same set of cookies (one cookie jar).

Are you using any special kind of isolation or containers that might prevent that from happening?

Or does the site use a "cookieless" method of keeping your session together? Usually that involves putting a long gibberishy SID in the URLs.

My first thought was also that you are possibly using containers. Most website store this data in a cookie and once this cookie is send then this is used instead of the session ID in the link.
