Middle click on a tab used to open another tab and now closes the tab, how do I change this back?

When I middle-click the mouse on a tab it would open another tab with a copy of that page. For example, when I go to Pogo.com on one of there newer games I sometimes will use the middle button to reopen the page and check the status of a challenge, if it has been activated and how much progress has been made. Now when I middle-click the mouse on a tab it will close the tab, and if only one tab is open the browser exits.

I currently using: Windows XP SP3 Firefox 36.0.4

I also have tried going into safe mode with Firefox with no change in behavior.

Hi, you can copy an open tab by pointing to Reload current page (right-hand end of address bar) and clicking the mouse wheel.

If you want the browser to remain open when you close the last tab, type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab and double click on it to change 'Value' from True to False.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

I tried the middle click on the reload button and it worked. This helps as stated earlier when Pogo's server or the internet service acts up causing problems and opening a copy of the page in a new tab, without disrupting the current page, helps me to see if things working properly.

Thanks.
