I have been stuck with search.us.com.which I dont use and dont know how it arrived. I have deleted the program from my downloaded programs,I have also deleted it from everywhere that I know,BUT when I contacted the company they gave me the same program that I used. Can any one advise me on how to delete it completely from my system.

Thank you

Assuming a search engine in the Search Bar is what you mean, see this:

Afternoon to you, Sorry but this didnt assist me. When I open my browser,it automatically opens with this program and I have to go to tools, then options from Firefox and open the general page and retype in the name of the home page, which until two days ago was there permanently until somehow this search.us.com appeared...... Thanks again.

Oh, so your Homepage is getting reset to search.us.com when you re-open Firefox.

Open your Profile folder and see if you have a user.js file. That's not a standard file in Firefox, and can be created to "lock" preferences for the user's convenience or by a "program" that disrespects the user's preferences. You can delete that file if it exists (with Firefox closed), or if you are curious you can open that file in a test program like Notepad or Wordpad to see what's in that file.

Next to Profile Folder hit the Show Folder button then close Firefox.
If you have a user.js file, either delete it or open it to see what's in it.

Sorry to be a pain,BUT that didnt assist at all.Where do I find the 'profile folder.I actually opened up a folder under troubleshooting and there was nothing listed under user.js and there is no download with that config either. What do you suggest I do next. Your assistance is appreciated.

Thanking you
