A few times a day, I am notified to update Firefox. If I say yes, then I get the message - trying to connect to the upgrade server and nothing ever happens. It just spins and spins. If I go to the Firefox site and try and upgrade, it says I have the latest version. I am running 24.0. So which is it. The upgrade says go to 25.0. I am getting tired of the prompts to upgrade and can't. Please advise.

You can try to just download over the existing version (in another browser) and install on top of firefox, and its a upgrade.

Hello emandinach, if you have problem with update firefox the better way is to download and install the new version.

1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html

2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean install.

3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
