I can't open a song download that is in my download folder of Firefox

I downloaded a music album and it was saved in the Downloads file of Firefox. When I try to open the file is won't open. Nothing happens. No error message. It just sits there.

Redownload the file and use the right application to read the file. (like a media player).

Are you opening the file from within the Firefox download manager or directly from the hard drive with a file manager (Windows Explorer)?

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
