My IBM scroll point moue won't scroll with the middle scroll button in FFox. But will scroll in Win Exp and Lotus Notes. Help please.

My IBM 800 dpi Scroll Point Pro Optical mouse is set to Universal Scrolling and works correctly in Lotus Notes, MS Office apps and Win Explorer. But will not scroll in Fire Fox. If I set the mouse to use MS Office 97 scrolling emulation, the mouse will scroll in Fire Fox BUT it then does not scroll properly in Lotus Notes. Thanks in advance for your support & guidance..
