Thank you so much. This just started happening once I had installed Windows 7 and I found it extremely annoying as I was clicking on the allow button every time.

is there a way of telling Firefox to let some sites redirect and not others? I'm on a mac in case that is a factor.

This is the question that I think needs to be answered: Is there a way to specify a list of pages that are okay to be automatically reloaded? There are many examples in the Firefox help forums of people getting this message asking for help. Everyone seems to want just to make the message go away. Or maybe the answerers just want to make the users go away... Part of helping is making sure the user is asking the right questions and aware of all options. Is there a way (I think there's not) to allow all web sites to automatically reload? If not, how about an option to allow the user to specify a list of URLs that are considered safe? How about changing the "Allow" button to a drop down with options such as "allow once," "never automatically reload this page," or "always allow this page to reload"?

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
