Using mTLS with Firefox

Trying to migrate services from TLS to mTLS but I can only find mTLS support in Chrome. Any suggestions were to look? Nothing comes up in a Mozilla site search.

Have you imported the certificate that Firefox will need to send to the site to verify you? Try that first, then try connecting to the site. Here's how. Start on the Settings page, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Settings (previously "Options")
  • Type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the search box at the top of the page, type cert and Firefox should filter to the "Certificates" section.

Click the "View Certificates" button, then, in the overlay, click "Your Certificates".

The "Import..." button here is what you'll use to install your personal certificate into Firefox.

Success?
