Ctrl Clicking Bookmark folders

I use my bookmark folders for a fighting game. When I want to attack, I ctrl click my Bookmark Folders to open the tabs.

When using the side (ctrl-B), and I ctrl-click, the previous folder I clicked is highlighted. This gets distracting. I'd like to stop it. When I am Ctrl-clicking off the Bookmarks Toolbar, it shows a dropdown of all the bookmarks in the folder and will not close until they are all open. That gets in the way.

Can I change/stop this?
