Firefox "Daylight" or Promiseus "Morningstar ?"
What happened to Firefox Quantum? With this so-called "Daylight" I can only choose some extensions you seem to generously decide to offer when you (Mozilla) feels like doing so. It has something to do with contracts, am I right ? Anyway, it's a shame: I was perfectly content with Quantum. Do I run a risk if I reinstall the latter ? Look, I know what "they" have tried / done to Netscape and how you guys Veni Vidi Vici (with some bruises) and my sincerest credit for that. I will continue to support and use your product(s). But please, fix the extension thing asap. Or can I still use Quantum without security issues ? Thanks in advance and keep up the fight.

Hi, Quantum is the name used for the Desktop version of Firefox.
The previous version of Firefox for Android was nicknamed Fennec. Fennec no longer receives security updates.
The new version will get more extensions over time. Whether to open up beyond Recommended extensions, how to do that, and when to do that, have not been decided.
The Add-ons team is responding in this thread, but I think you'll find the same thing I just said:
