What happened to Firefox?

I have downloaded a "new" version of the Browser and it is absolutely horrible!!! The person(s) who designed the new look should be fired and never re-employed. Normal websites that look good on any other browser Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera etc, they all look hideous on Firefox. Buttons are floating out of frames, pictures displaced, default fonts and text have weird contrast etc and it doesn’t matter which theme you put on it, everything is just puke-inducingly bad. Currently, Firefox makes every website look like a webpage under construction!!!

How can you possibly mess things up so badly? Who authorised to absolutely ruin a browser, which used to be reliable? That person or those persons should be named and shamed and never employed in this business again. Firefox has become the “Skype” of web-browsers; it has become useless, user-unfriendly, ugly and an embarrassment to design and functionality.

Bring back the old Firefox and fire the people to designed the new one.

Mozilla… you have gone downhill along with the Skype losers.

What an embarrassment.

Hi,

everything looks completely fine here. Can you provide URL and screenshot of the page that looks wrong on your side?

Sorry to hear that you are having issues.

Firefox should be displaying websites the same as other browsers.

In order to better assist you with your issue please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. This will help us to visualize the problem.

In the meantime, you may want to try clearing your Firefox cache. The cache is a version of the website that Firefox has saved for future reference. In some cases, Firefox may have stored a damaged, incomplete or outdated version of the website. Clearing the cache will force Firefox to completely redownload the website.

Thank you!

You can do a clean reinstall of the current Firefox release and delete the Firefox program folder before installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows Registry and settings in security software.

  • do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall the current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including personal data in profiles created by other Firefox versions

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  • (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • it is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling

Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you reinstall or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.

If you keep having problems then you can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

Reinstall Firefox
