Chosen solution

Open the file. Then select Save As. Not save.

Save the file to wherever you want. Then work on it.

Is there a reason you want this? You could end up getting a flood of temp files.

when i open a file and work with it, then shutdown the computer the file has disappeared. because FF does not know that I want to save files I worked in. FF does not ask if I want to save such a file. When i open a file and send it to another user, the file is not stored in downloads but in that tmp dir. Either FF ask if I want to download before opening or ask if I want to save before shutdown.
