the screenshot on this page shows the dialogue box I am getting, but I do not have the "remember this decision" checkbox - this results in near constant prompting for location aware sites (see https://tour.stevens.edu/ )

why do i not have the ability to "remember this decision"?

Hi, go to the 3-bar menu > Add-ons > Extensions, and make sure that McAfee WebAdvisor is disabled or preferably remove it. then restart Firefox.

If that doesn't help, when on the site, click the 'i' at the left-hand end of the address bar, then the arrow '>' to the right of 'Connection,' now at the bottom, click 'More Information,' now in the Permissions tab (Access Your Location), deselect Use Default and select Allow.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please help other users by marking the best reply as Solved. Thank you!
