i use a macbook pro running os high sierra when i start firefox a blank page loads and i get a spinning curser that will not stop and the page does not finish l

i tried to re download Firefox but that does not help i start firefox then the window opens as if to start but then i get a spinning curser that doesn't stop until i force quit. everything else works fine on my macbook pro i run os high sierra 10.3.1 is there a conflict with firefox with this os update? thanks
