"Firefox profile missing or inaccessible" but the folder is still there, not moved or renamed
I just uploaded to Firefox 57.0 yesterday and it runs okay. However, whenever I try to open new tabs or load something, Firefox keeps on opening a dialog box saying that my Firefox profile cannot be loaded and it might be missing or inaccessible and it stops loading, like not responding. When I click "ok" then FF starts running normally again. That dialog box appears too frequently, like every time I open a new tab or load something. I followed the path in the instructions to solve the profiles error to the Profiles folder and it was still there, not moved anywhere, not renamed. My profiles.ini looks like this: [General] StartWithLastProfile=1
[Profile0] Name=default-1468562214678 IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/76ivwcys.default-1468562214678

hmmmm https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks Please make your bookmarks in to a HTML file, (mine are 32yrs old.) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer This will grab, them and rest of your data. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
If you would : See if you can find updates for your Intel(R) HD Graphics Family as they are A big time aging old : driverDate: 4-24-2014 You can Google Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and find the download page https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/80939/graphics-drivers.html, but you may have to know what generation chipset you are using. GPU-Z would tell you this https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ Can also try : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html I do not see any errors in the drivers. Old & corrupted Drivers cause a wide range of issues. Please keep them updated to prevent these issues and you never know when Intel will stop supporting them. Then : Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Or wait for unknown date of fix
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Does the full path of the profile folder contain any special Unicode characters (e.g. the user name part)?
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
