I am not able to scroll up or down the selections in Firefox Preferences. It is frozen in the General position.
Firefox 42
Mac book pro OS-10.10.5
Chosen solution
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore the previously used standalone Options/Preferences window.
- General UI (1): Open options page (about:preferences) in a window (v2)
If that isn't working or the choice is missing then you might be using a theme that isn't supported. You can check that by switching to the default theme.
