Hi there!

My father got an SYNC account Computer got broken, so to be 110% sure that his data gonna survive i've checked for the last time (1 hour ago) IS SYNC ON and is it synchronized. It was. I formatted disc, installed Ubuntu, and now when I'm trying to log in to my father's account it says "Unknown account. Sign up". This has put a mad on my face. WHY?! Please, answer me as fast as you can, it is really important for me and even more for my father.

Regards, Pawel, Poland.

hello, firefox 29 and upwards is using a different sync system which isn't compatible with accounts set-up in older versions.

in this case you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the prior firefox 28 version, disable automatic updating for the moment (in options > advanced > update), link it to the old sync account (with username, password & recovery key) and upgrade after you have successfully restored your data this way...

Install an older version of Firefox Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more
