At about 10:25 am EST I was on a webpage from the New York Post using my Firefox browser, and then suddenly a completely new Firefox browser was launched to Google homepage. I closed out the newly-opened Firefox browser, and the previously-running Firefox browser on the New York Post page was still in tact. Why did this happen? I'm pretty sure I did not launch the second Firefox browser. Just seemed like an odd thing. Thanks for any insight anyone may have into this.

Hello inquiringmind, maybe (by mistake) click Ctrl + N, and you open the new window ? Check it if this happen again, do not give great importance if does not happen again.

thank you

Thanks for the insight ideato.

I don't think I hit Ctrl + N; I'm pretty sure I was just scrolling down the New York Post page with my mouse when the new Mozilla browser was launched.

Appreciate the comment. Thanks.
