Downloads window does not display the download after completing the download

Window shows download progress but once complete is blank Downloads occur OK This is a Windows 7 Ult (32bit) PC

Tools > Options > Privacy > History: [X] "Remember download history"

That is already set and has been and has not changed - this started a few weeks ago - prior to that it was working just fine!

Delete downloads.sqlite (plus downloads.rdf, if it exists) in the Profile Folder

Also make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Browsing & Download History"
