How do I delete other booksmarks folder or force firefox to stop using other booksmarks folder?

When I add a bookmark Firefox puts it in either "Other Bookmarks" or "Bookmarks Menu". Having to hunt in two places for new bookmarks is infuriating. How do I get the programmers to add an option in about:config to remove or disable "Other Bookmarks" so that new bookmarks are just added to "Bookmarks Menu" like they should in a normal world?

In Firefox 82 there is this extension.

In Firefox 85 you will be able to set the default location for a new bookmark. The default location will be stored in browser.bookmarks.defaultLocation on the about:config page. In Firefox 84 this pref has already been created to prepare for 85. If there are already bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks folder then this folder will be set as the defaultLocation (pref = 'unfiled'), otherwise the defaultLocation will be the Bookmarks Toolbar (pref = 'toolbar'). Other possible values are 'menu' for the Bookmarks Menu folder and a GUID for a specific folder. Not sure if/when there will be a user interface for this new feature. This is part of the new features under being developed currently placed under browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020.

How about just place the "Other Bookmarks" folder in 'about:config' "HIDE" so it is not displayed if we do not want to use that nightmare? Because if does get used as you have explained and new bookmarks are added to that NIGHTMARE feature that also duplicates itself placing them within other bookmarks even sub-bookmarks et ceteris . . . if anyone has bookmarks within that folder they need to save them to a different titled folder before removing any copies.
