If you are accessing the add-ons site through the Firefox for Android menu, you will be taken straight to add-ons designed for Firefox for Android.
I was on the firefox addons or at least that was what was in the address bar.
https://addons.mozilla.org/android/ is for Android Firefox while https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ is for desktop Firefox.
