On a mac, I cannot add images from photos to an email using Thunderbird: why?
There seems to be no route from Thunderbird to the Photos program on a mac to allow me to attach photos to an email, either as straight attchments or inline.
I have found this item on Apple's help pages which suggests it isn't possible.

When you send a file from another app through TB, it depends on the app supporting Simple MAPI. Since OS X doesn't support MAPI, you can't email a file from Photos with TB. It may work with Mail app.
