To clarify a previous question...most of my address book seems intact but several groupings(lists) have disappeared. Why?
My Thunderbird address book seems to still have most contacts in it...but several groups (lists) have gone missing. Why would that be? I haven't used the groups for quite some time and since i last used them, I updated to Windows 10 (not a clean upgrade but most things seem to be working properly). It seems odd that most addresses are still there, including some groups...but others have disappeared.

Answering that question is a bit like answering the question The clouds out my window are grey. What does that mean?
I would guess perhaps corruption. Or accidental deletion, possibly out lost the address book on update and through sending replies your collected addresses have basically repopulated it. Really I have no more idea than you. All I can do is guess and postulate.
