i have lost my master password for the Software Security Device. Which means i am having trouble logging in to other browsers.
If i try to login to yahoo for example, a message box appears, saying "Password Required". "You must enter the master password for the software security device", before i have a chance to enter any login details. So the problem is that i can't remember what the master password is.

Is this a problem with connecting to Sync?
If the chrome URL (chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul) isn't working then delete the logins.json and key3.db files in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

You lose all passwords stored in the Password Manager if you reset the Master Password by using the chrome URL or delete the logins.json and key3.db files.
