
How do I move an email from my inbox into one of my folders, on a Mac?
at one time I could click on "move" and select the name of the folder, but that option does not appear.

- Right click on email in the list - not the folder
- Select 'Move to'
- Select mail account and folder

Did you use 'Search Mozilla support' to see if someone else had asked the same or similar query?
I tried it and located one answer on the second page of results.
The Articles are gradually being created and tend to cover more complicated issues, but there isn't a specific Article written as yet on basic use of Thunderbird which would cover your specific query.
Hence why there is also the facility to ask the community for help.
