onmouseover "expires" after few seconds

In a classic HTML web page, when I move cursor over a hypelink the normal behavior (cursor icon change, status bar updated to the hyperlink's URL) occurs only for few seconds and then current hyperlink appears as a normal text. I can't find related options in config menu. (FF 3.6.7)
