FF won't retain the "save passwords" selection. Every time it restarts it must be reselected.
Two week old HP all in one, fresh FF install setup as default. I would like it to remember passwords, etc, but every time I restart I have to go back and re-select that function. All of the passwords are there in the appropriate registry so once re-selected the function performs normally.

If you have the "Trend Micro Password Manager" installed then try to uninstall this application via the Windows Control Panel.

Did you check your settings there is a option there to set to remember password.
Are you using a third-party Password Manager like Roboform or Trend Micro?
You can only use one Password Manager and that is either the builtin Firefox Password Manager or another Password Manager.
To WestEnd; That is the setting that clears itself when the software is closed or the computer power is cycled.
To cor-el No password manager. No extensions installed yet. Using Trend Micro for security only.
Thanks!

cor-el;
I deleted Trend Micro password manager as suggested. It solved the problem.
Even without it engaged! Go figure.
Many thanks!
