I've tried the first two suggestions but don't know how to change the privacy settings.

Hi sborg, I think this is the most relevant article for Firefox: Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them.

Does that make any difference?

As stated, I tried the first two suggestions. Today, after booting up, the problem is resolved.
