accesssing the web from SuSe using firefox

I just loaded SuSe and it came with firefox. I can only access a limited very limited number of web pages. Is there some parameter change I need to make in order for firefox to be able to access other things on the web from SuSe?

I do not know anything about Firefox on SuSe. I use the standard Mozilla or the Ubuntu versions myself, but I doubt there is some hidden parameter to change.

  • Are you using a special Firefox version from the SuSe distro ?
  • What are the error messages, are you able to paste them into your reply or attach a screenshot ?
  • is this your computer and did you install SuSe yourself
  • What security or filtering software are you using?
