I am trying to add a new identity, I already have 3, so perhaps there is a limit? I have created the identity under manage identities with no problems. However, the new identity does not appear in Thunderbird, where the others are. The address is not recognized, and does not receive emails. I feel like I have missed a fundamental step but have followed the help instructions & cannot see what I am doing wrong. Ive checked and the program is up to date. When viewing a message with remote content, I see the bar "To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message", however the 'Preferences' dropdown described in Remote Content in Messages does not exist...

I want to show remote content for a single message, but this seems impossible!

I have an old iMac running macOS High Sierra. After a power surge last night, I have been unable to access any mail accounts. Apparently this is because my iMac cannot use two-factor authorization. The recommended fix is to use Mozilla Thunderbird. I downloaded this, but when I double-click the .dmg file, I get a corrupt image message. I am wondering if this is because I have a 32-bit machine.

Any attempt to add a Nextcloud CalDAV calendar to Thunderbird presents a "certificate exception" (flatpak)

When attempting to add my calendars on our Nextcloud server, I can't get further then the second dialog.

Steps to reproduce: 1. New account > Calendar 2. Select "On the network" 3. Enter the correct user name and address (I did try the server address AND both CalDAV addresses presented in the calendar settings on the Nextcloud web app). 4. Press "Search for calendars" 5. After an extended period of time a dialog with a title "Adding a security exception" appears, claiming, that our Nextcloud site does not have a correct certificate (it does).

This is where the journey ends. If you add an exception, the dialog disappears and you are still at number 3. Trying again will produce the same result. Funny thing is, that you can press the button "Load certificate" in the "exception dialog" and then the same dialog will declare that our site does indeed have a correct certificate! But it will only allow you to close the dialog and you are still at number 3 and without any chance to add your calendars.

This is a completely new installation of Thunderbird. There are other folks that are using Thunderbird with their calendars on the same Nextcloud server and everything works happily. I presume this is a bug with the newer version of Thunderbird or something of that sort.

The procedure creates a Trash folder that I can see in File Explorer. However it doesn't show up in Thunderbird and i cannot delete any messages in this account.

Here is how I got to this point: I was deleting a two messages that Bitdefender had found were infected. The messages disappeared but so did the Trash folder. I know the infected messages are there somewhere because Bitdefender keeps reporting them. Now I can neither locate these deleted messages nor delete any other message in this account.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email.

I have been trying to determine why I do not receive read receipts after selecting Return Receipt and Delivery Status Notification under the Options tab when sending emails. This has been an ongoing issue for more than 10 years.

I am currently using Thunderbird version 152.0 on one computer and 140.10.2 ESR (32-bit) on another. Despite trying numerous settings and troubleshooting steps over the years, I have never been able to receive a read receipt.

I would be truly grateful if you could guide me in the right direction or let me know if there is a setting I may have overlooked. If there are any troubleshooting steps or additional information you need from me, I would be happy to provide it.

I have default send from address as john@mydomain.com. When i press new message or hit reply , from is john@mydomain. 

With catch all setup, some email would be addressed email1@mydomain.com, email2@mydomain etc...

Is it possible than when i hit reply button on email, the from address would be set to "to" address of email i'm replying to ( for example email1@mydomain.com), instead of sender defined in account settings?
