We have bought a new computer from our tech guy before. This time, all was fine except for the Thunderbid calendar. The 20 GB of email files are all there and email still works. Only the calendar is blank. Our guy admits he dislikes Mozilla and rarely deals with it. Is there any way we can find the contents of the calendar? The old computer is still here in our house, but we only have one monitor. I had birthdays, lots of birthdays setup as repeating events. I hate to lose that.

This is odd as we didn't lose anything the last time we bought a new computer from same guy. We already were running Windows 11, so that is not the issue.

Since yesterday (27 Apr 2026) any and all mail that comes into Thunderbird gets marked as SPAM. I searched online and found people saying that I could reset the junk training filter, so I did this, but incoming mail was still marked as spam. The next suggestion was to delete the training.dat file. Did that, restarted Thunderbird and incoming messages are still marked as spam. The last suggestion was to turn off adaptive junk mail controls. Didn't want to do that because I assumed that it would let spam through. Nope. Turned it off, restarted Thunderbird and two emails from my work came in and got flagged.

I'm running version 140.10.0esr (64-bit) on Windows 11. I am using IMAP to connect to the mail server but it's not running any spam detection software (like Spamassassin). I know this because it's my server and even if it was, no updates have been preformed since the first of this month and this just started happening yesterday. Combine this with the bug that Thunderbird notifies me of incoming mail, even if it's spam (didn't post about this because there are plenty going back a couple of years), is starting to make me look for an alternative.

So I have gone through many of the suggested actions in removing an email account from Thunderbird. It keeps asking for a password for an email account I no longer use. It was a gmail account. I have removed calendar reminders. I have gone to the profiles. It is not listed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. But Every time I open the program and several times while using. It asks me for the password. How do I remove this?

What is an easy to use anti-spam program for Thunderbird that will allow me to easily mark new messages "block sender" or "block domain?" My e-mail host InMotion and their Spam Assassin does not support quick and easy marking of new messages.

I use the quick filter option very often. I use this to filter my message list by sender I'm a bit "tired" of constantly copying the sender e-mail address -> then pasting it into the quick filter field.

I am looking for an option like "Quick filter by this sender" or something like that Does anyone know how i can achieve this?

Some years ago there was an excellent extension from trusted contributor alta8888 called TotalQuickFilter (https://bitbucket.org/alta8888/totalquickfilter/wiki/Home) but unfortunately it was discontinued

I have Thunderbird on another PC that shows the incoming emails with the contents with the contents displayed under the email list, yet on my new PC I cannot seem to get that setting. I have to double click an email and it opens a new tab. I have used your help and also YouTube to no avail.

It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!

My inbox Sub Folders have disappeared on one computer only (Windows 11) And, only one email account. Apparently the emails they contained are still there but not visible.

Problem noticed 4/28/26, am using ExpressVPN and Malwarebytes. I tuned off the vpn = no difference. I do not want to turn off my anti virus. ISP = Zianet. TBird V 149.0.2 as of my previous problem restoring TTrash. I do not know if there is a new version since I cannot open

I’m an assistant and would like to send emails on behalf of my manager to lighten her workload. I can access her account, but I can’t send emails. What settings do I need to adjust to make this work?

Dragging and dropping multiple local folders has worked for quite some time now. But recently (since last week?) I can no longer do that. I am forced to drag single folders. My workflow requires the ability to drag multiple folders often during the day so this is a great inconvenience.

I am currently using V150.0 64 bit on a desktop running Windows 11.

Suddenly when I try to send a message I get the following error:

I have not changed any thing. I've looked at solutions on the Thunderbird forum but I didn't find a solution.

I tried to send an email to 12 recients and got a message "to many recipents"; I tried just onerecipient and got the same message. I went to my provider Iprimus' webmail and all was sent.

I have a desktop with thunderbird. It has worked fine for years. I have a new laptop. I have loaded thunderbird. It will send emails but not receive via my gmail.com. account If I "subscribe" it just goes away and does not down load the folder list I have compared the settings between the two computers and they seem to be OK I have noticed CGV has just had a similar problem with two POP3 Hotmail accounts. Hello. Impossible to connect to an existing Google account. Neither to the "full" account, nor to the Contact list nor to a Calendar of an existing account. Neither to a "private" account, not to a "workspace".

When trying to connect to a Contact list, after the Oauth window and the authorisation to share data from Google accounts, the app answer "Connexion impossible" (I am a French user).

When trying to connect to Calendars, Google's window asking authorisation to share data comes back after clicking "authorise".

i used the new feature to add my icloud calenders to thunderbird. that works fine. But the existing icloud Birthday calender was not separately choosable and dose not appear in thunderbird. what do do? Thank you!!
