Why does a calendar reminder open in edit mode when you select it. If you go to the calendar and open it you are presented with the information and the attachments. If you click on the reminder you must click on details and then you must select "Edit only this occurrence" or "Edit all occurrences" and then select "Attachments".

Why is there not an option to have the reminder open as it would if you selected it in the calendar?

Nun ist mir aufgefallen das auf einmal 2 Spamordner pro Mailadresse angelegt sind aber nur ein Ordner benutzt wird. Wie kann ich die unbenutzten Spamordner löschen ??? Hello, I'm using the latest version of Thunderbird on Windows 11 and manage three email addresses with it. I've noticed that two spam folders have suddenly been created for each email address, but only one folder is being used. How can I delete the unused spam folders?

Two email addresses are with Seuresmtp.t-online.de One email address is with Web.de Freemail-smtp.de

Whilst using TB the screen went white with dozens of little tabs along the top of the screeen with what look like page icons, as the app became 'not responding'. Re-loading didn't help - same screen. Re-starting didn't help. I uninstalled and re-installed TB but it is stil the same. Opening in Windows (11) safe mode produced virtually the same result except for a few seconds I was able to open the hamburger menu and select trouble shooting. Opened in trouble shooting mode showed several alerts of 'failed to connect with servers' (outlook.office365.com imap.gmail.com and Yahoo). Then it shut down as before 'not responding'. When open, TB is using some 80% of available memory., and I can only close it by using Task Manager. I'm a complete dunce at this stuff so, if anyone knows a way out of this hole, please use simple English! Thanks, Jeff

I have been using Thunderbird for ages now with no problem, but I suddenly realised that no recent emails were appearing from my Gmail account. I have tried everything suggested on line to resolve the problem, including uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, and deleting and re-entering my acccount details but neither the IMAP or SMTP servers will connect to Gmail. I have reset all of the server settings on Thunderbird, and have checked that Gmail is IMAP compliant (which, apparently, is is now automatically). I have spent hours trying to sort this out and am just at the point of abandoning Thunderbird completely, but I am loathe to do so if there is a solution. The latest error message i have received is "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password" but I don't know what else I can check or change.

The Notifications Bar seems to be missing from the top of an email message that is being shown below the list of messages. So there is no "Options" box where it is usually shown, on the Notifications Bar, so that I can manage Remote Content in the message being shown.

In the Thunderbird newsgroup (which I will not name here), one person said the following:

"TB 149.0 (64 bit) tells me I can update to 149.0.1 but when I go to the "What's New" site, the info on the announcement page is "CHANGED There are no Thunderbird changes requiring release notes in this release" and nothing new is mentioned either. Why the release? What's different? Why the secret?

I too would appreciate knowing why this happened.

Hi, I like to attach hyperlink to the words I write in my mails (for exemple : "you can find here the document, and I attach to the word "here" a link, an URL). But when I respond to such a mail, or when I transfer one of mine, the links are not viewable. Strange thing is that when I respond to such a mail, the person reading my response can see and click on the link, but when I'm writing, I don't see the link. The word (let's say "here") is underlined, but I can't see or access or modify the link (for example to make sure that the link is correct). The information is sent, but I don't see it at the moment when I'm writing my response. Why... ? Thank you in advance

What are the exact differences between Thunderbird and Thunderbird Pro? Pro includes GB of storage. I want to know if this is only the case with Thunderbird, and if all other Thunderbird versions, for example, on the channel Relies Eser, do not include storage. I'm also interested in the topic of encryption, so please provide as much detail as possible.

The email address is correct. What is going on?

At some point, some of our email folders duplicated. Not sure how that happened. How can I fix this? I've attached a screen shot of a gmail account that illustrates the problem.

I can't find a contact person, and the Mozilla account name has been changed. Is that normal?

Different Thunderbird versions display a programmed year date in the archive option. For example, 2021 in one program and 2024 in another. Is that normal? I can't change anything.

It's as if it's accessing some kind of backup and maybe even sharing it, and I don't know what's correct.

Update Channel Ellipse Update Channel esr. Previously, there were different channels. Isn't another channel better? I've read that it's more stable than switching. Is that true? Information regarding the question below?

I would glad donate to TB Mozilla IF it would work the way it is supposed to. I tried for 3 hours to create a MAILING LIST nut to no avail. The instructions make no sense.

Also in my Address book that I imported, phone numbers show up under the heading "email addresses...and I have email showing up at all.

I have a search saved as a folder. I use it on my Gmail many times a day and have for a long time. But in the past week or two it has started disappearing. I recreate it and it disappears again a few days later. Any idea what I can do about this?

Win11 140.9.0esr-bb20 (64-bit)

On my home computer and my lap top I have Thunderbird installed. Both profiles are identical. The emails on both systems are updated by just downloading them from the provider account. My calender is normaly used on my home computer as well all appointments are saved there.

Going on longer trips away from home I would like to import all my calendar data from my home computer to my lap top. Copying the complete profile takes too much time. By just copying the calendar-data file to my lap top I do not get a working result. What do I miss?

Somewhere between TB 15 and TB 115 (my current), we lost the TB information page which included a link to the profile. Is there some current replacement for that capability? (I'm having a profile problem and would like to see how that looks to TB.)
