I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 and Firefox 143.0.1.

I recently bought my first OLED monitor, so I enabled auto-hide taskbar in Windows to try and reduce the chance of burn-in. However, while it works for the most part, it seems to often break in Firefox where the taskbar will hide, but not reappear when I move my mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen.

You can replicate this issue by having FF not maximised, then dragging its window titlebar to the top of the screen and letting go in order to maximise it. At that point, the taskbar no longer pops up when you mouse over the bottom of the screen.

Many thanks for any help you can give.

With both browser.cache.(disk & memory).enable=false... Firefox settings to clear cache after closing... Close Firefox Turn off internet access Run CCleaner indicates Firefox internet cache cleared of ~23k of information Open Firefox browser (internet still off) Close Firefox browser Run CCleaner, and again it shows Firefox internet cache cleared of ~23k of information.

It seems to me that Firefox is still recalling cached data from somewhere. Can this caching (disk?) be disabled?

Just upgraded one computer to Firefox v143.0.1 and now familysearch.org is very slow and will not load hints. v142.0.1 is still on my other computer and familysearch.org works normally. Within familysearch, I can click on a hint and a pane opens on the right. It normally populates within a second or two at most. With v143.0.1, it takes a minute to partially populate, then it goes no further. With v142.0.1 it works normally. I've disabled add-ons. Cleared cache. Deleted TEMP files. Restarted browser. Restarted computer. Nothing has worked. Previous upgrades over the years have not had this issue. Other browsers (Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave, Edge, SeaMonkey) do not have this issue. Attaching a picture of this page: https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/G4QP-T3S A free familysearch account is required to see it--only an e-mail address is required. The right pane has been trying to load for over 4 hours at this point. Normally takes about 2 seconds.

Hi, I’ve noticed that Firefox often uses a lot of memory when I have multiple tabs open, even more than Chrome or Edge on the same number of tabs. Sometimes it slows down my system or makes switching between tabs laggy.

Is this normal behavior, or is there a way to reduce Firefox’s RAM usage without losing performance? Are there specific settings, add-ons, or troubleshooting steps I should try?

Thanks in advance!

Dear community, Thanks for your hard job

I've got 2 devices connected to Firefox account, my laptop and my mobile. I would like to ask why is my laptop geolocated in a country where I do not live?

I was checking my connected devices (on https://accounts.firefox.com) and I've noticed that under my laptop it is written "Bermondsey, ENG, United Kingdom", but I do not live there and I'm not using VPN. I've also tried to restart the laptop.

Should I be worried? Thanks in advance for your help.

PWA apps created with Firefox do not show on Windows 11 installed apps list so I cannot uninstall them. I haven't found any guide on the web on how to uninstall PWA created from Firefox. So, how can I effectively uninstall those PWA apps? Thank you in advance for your kind answer. Regards.

Is there a way using the userchrome.css file that I can get back the coloured toolbar icons I had for the home, reload, stop, backwards and forwards buttons? They were coloured until version 143 arrived. These updates just make Firefox more drab by altering things and preventing the settings in my css file from continuing to work! Anyone managed to fond any code for the css file that still works?

When I open Google to check email, this site shows up every time:

 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop?

I may have been browsing, but I do not remember asking it to be on my desktop.

I only have one explanation. On Labor Day, at 8:30 am EST, I went into a Grand Mal seizure and then flat lined with my x-ray friend of 20 years watching me die. I lost some of my memory. And the CPR hurt my right and arm to the point I cannot do much with it.

All I do remember is being on the settings page. When I close out the computer I delete my history and just look at the Settings page. That would have been around Sept. 14 - 20, 2025; 7pm.

I had 16 windows open with around 1400 tabs. I discovered OneTab and it seemed like the answer to my prayers as even 16GB RAM struggling with so many open windows. I managed to close 7 windows and around 700 tabs by using the OneTab list. My whole computer shutdown overnight for a Windows update, and when I re-opened all my Mozilla Firefox tabs popped up as usual. (I have a few crashes here and there and never had a problem restoring tabs with normal Firefox windows.) My single OneTab had the option for 'sessionrestore' but when I clicked it, NOTHING, zero tabs and I am gutted.

1. is there a backup file of what was transferred into OneTab? 2. I have not synced, can I restore my whole Mozilla account to where I was 3 days ago with 16 windows open? 3. There is nothing in recently closed tabs/windows - is the only way to go back through my whole browsing history for the last 6 months and restore that way? 4. I cannot do a full computer system restore as been deleting files and other work - I must find a solution through Mozilla. How can I get back in time?

Anyone able to help or advise? Much appreciated!
