I am having a problem with a 502 Bad Gateway error which will not go away. There was originally a real problem, but it has been cleared up. I am trying to access an e-book on Libby from my local library site when the error occurs. The link works without any problem in Microsoft Edge. It used to work in Firefox as well, until the temporary problem occurred. I have clear my Firefox cache, but this has not resolved the problem. Somewhere Firefox has stored something which is creating this spurious error, but I have been unable to find it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have an iMac and it will not log into our credit union's web site. When I goo to the log in and enter my password and such, and click on log in, nothing happens. I have a Mac Book Air with Firefox on it and it works fine. So does my wife's laptop. But my iMac doe snot work. I can use Safari to log in but not Firefox. Very annoying since I use Firefox all the time.

Running Firefox 140.3.1 ESR on Debian, lately I've been experiencing a bug when I have several instances of Firefox open, and multiple tabs open in each instance. After a few minutes of browsing and opening and closing tabs, I am unable to drag tabs to rearrange them (above the address bar). The "X" that is part of the tab also doesn't work to close the tab, and clicking the main "hamburger" menu icon (three horizontal lines) does not drop down the menu. If I switch to a different instance of Firefox that is already running, sometimes the "hamburger" menu icon starts working (sometimes not), and I am able to exit and restart Firefox, which works for awhile, and then a few minutes later the same thing happens again. Interestingly, when it's not working, I am still able to "right-click" on the tab and choose "close tab" from the drop-down menu.

I've been trying to discern a pattern, but have not been able to find a way to reliably reproduce the error. It often seems to happen when I'm using Reddit or Craigslist (maybe only more noticable because I often open and close a lot of tabs on those two sites). At one point I thought it might be related to opening a new tab for a site that had previously been opened in another Firefox window (instance), but that may be a false lead, because I haven't been able to find a way to consistently trigger the bug.

Thank you for maintaining the best privacy-respecting browser in the world, an indispensable tool for me.

Hi I recently received an update on Windows 11 insider channel that blocked me from using Firefox and Google Chrome. It also refused to allow me to reinstall Firefox. It would not let open the browsers at all. I did everything possible-no child restrictions- no security issues-no issues with Microsoft redistributable packages. The only browser it would allow me to use was Explorer. I ended up doing a clean install of Windows 11 to fix the problem. I don’t think blocking a user from a web browser is legal but I’m not a lawyer. Thanks, Jonathan

When I try to connect to MSNBC Live TV or Fox Sports Live TV while using Mozilla Firefox, I am asked to click on my provider (which is Verizon) so that I can verify my account. When I click on that icon (from a choice of 15 or so providers), it sends me to the Verizon page where the message is Please wait - we are verifying your account with a spinning wheel that does not stop spinning. How can this situation be rectified so that I can sign in. It worked fine for years until the last couple of weeks. Thank you, Raymond Birch

Firefox repeatedly crashes on my, multiple times a day. I'dc really like to NOT have to change my default browser to Chrome.

What happens is that Firefox freezes, and I get a white bar at the top telling me so. I get a popup box asking if I want to close Firefox or wait for it to respond. Waiting doesn't work, so I always have to close Firefox. When I reopen it, fortunately all m,y open tabs are retained, but it crashes again within minutes or seconds as soon as I click on anything.

There only thing that seems to work is a reboot of my PC. But the respite is short before Firefox crashes again.

I've disabled most plugins, but that hasn't helped. Is there a way to create an event log within Firefox that I can share with someone at Mozilla to help e debug the issue? It's got to be something local rather than Firefox itself; I can't imagine this is happening to most users.

Hi I have a firefox account which I use on 2 macs and a PC as well as an android phone. For the past few months non of my book marks, passwords etc are being synced across the system and I have now completely different book marks on different devises. I have synced each computer multiple times without effect. This used to work perfectly before I changed my password a few months back. It is now reaching a point that firefox is no longer usable for me?? Thanks for your help

Yesterday while using Firefox my keyboard quit functioning in Firefox (Windows 11). I closed everything and restarted the computer. Everything else works fine, but Firefox would not load. I tried to the repair function and that wouldn't load. I tried to uninstall and that wouldn't load. I uninstalled with a third part app, and tried to reinstall, but that keeps giving a can't install message after trying for several minutes. I tried to install Firefox Beta and that installer hangs up at [Execute: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\default-browser-agent.exe" register-task 308046]. Also cleaned registry.

I am an academic researcher formerly affiliated with an institution that uses Okta as its two-factor authentication service for access to institutional subscriptions (think Elsevier, Cambridge Core, Brill, JStor, etc.). Since I am no longer affiliated with that institution, I am no longer authorized to access that institution's subscriptions. I am not trying to access that institution's subscriptions, however, if I try to log in to these repositories as an individual, I am automatically redirected to my former institution's Okta authentication page.

The browser: Mozilla Firefox 143.0.3. I am able to access other sites on other browsers, as well as in private Firefox windows, which suggests it is a problem with my Firefox account. These are temporary workarounds I can live with only in the very short term. I am under no circumstances willing to switch browsers. I use Firefox for a reason. FWIW, I am also contacting Okta support to see what they recommend.

The computer: Macbook Air 2020 M1. It is a personal computer. I do not have access to another device.

I have cleared my browser history, saved form data, saved site settings, cookies, and cache (x5). I have deleted all saved passwords containing the email address associated with my former institution. I have restarted the browser (x5). I have restarted my computer (x2). I have reached out to IT at the institution (they are flummoxed).

I'm nearing my wit's end with this. I'm working on multiple projects with multiple deadlines. The temporary workaround and constant barrier to access are driving me up the wall. I will be infinitely grateful for a permanent solution to this hellish problem.

PWA apps created with Firefox do not show on Windows 11 installed apps list so I cannot uninstall them. I haven't found any guide on the web on how to uninstall PWA created from Firefox. So, how can I effectively uninstall those PWA apps? Thank you in advance for your kind answer. Regards.
