You can revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Extensions like InvisibleHand and Ghostery can also cause problems.

If it always happens on specific sites then you can do a test in Safe mode.

You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Disable the Java Quick Starter extension: Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced tab -> Miscellaneous -> Java Quick Starter (disable)
