Firefox crashes
Upon launching of Firefox, Its very choppy, it gets about 50% of my homepage loaded and crashes... Everytime.
It won't let me start up in safe mode, Ive deleted Reinstalled, and replaced Firefox. When i go through the steps for the crash report info, I cannot find a folder in my Library that says "Firefox". But I do have a a folder called "crash reports" But no folder that lists the crash reports.
I backed up my computer to an external hard drive 3 nights ago, the next day my computer worked for apout an hour. Then it froze completely. I had to do a "hard" shutdown. When i was doing the hard shut down a window popped up and asked about "Updates are ready to install", "do you wish to install before shutting down" I clicked yes. It did its thing, and then shut down. I restarted my Mac book, and Have never gotten Firefox to work again.
Please help. I despise Safari... And do not wish to use it.

If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar;
Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted
Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted
Copy the last 5-7 Recent File Names in the folder. Post the information in the reply box below.
Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files (x86)
Mac: Open the "Applications" folder.

If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager,
you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux.
If you downloaded and installed the binary package
from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder
Firefox in your home directory.
Do Not remove the profiles folder.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.
