Firefox now supports drag and drop for links and tabs on iPads with iOS version 11. You can open links or tabs from one app on Firefox or vice versa.

With one finger, tap and hold on the link or tab so it enlarges. Then follow one of the steps below:

  • Side-by-side view: Simply drag that link or tab to the other app. If you're not on side-by-side view, continue with the steps below:
  • Single app view:
  1. Use another finger to bring up the dock (swipe up from the middle) or app switcher.
  2. Drag the link onto the other app until the other app pulses.
  3. Release the link and the other app will open and load that link.
For more information on Apple's drag and drop feature, see Drag and Drop on the Apple website.
