I have been a used this browser more or less exclusively since Phoenix 0.6 or thereabouts. I have persevered though the ever-increasing bloat and downwardly spirally performance all the way through.

For God only knows how long now, the alleged "developers" have chosen to follow MicroSoft's "let's make a release every week that fixes NOTHING and breaks EVERYTHING" concept of brand destruction. How long have we been plagued with such a bloated piece of crap that flogs our CPU's, demands more RAM than Windows and crashes every five minutes? How long have we suffered with a browser that attempts to keep EVERY SINGLE tab in RAM forEVER? How long have we endured a browser that cannot save a file with ANY degree of consistency preferring instead to suggest random locations all across the ENTIRE SYSTEM HARD DRIVE with no rhyme or reason WHATEVER? How long are we to accept this "break EVERYTHING and fix NOT A SINGLE ISSUE" mismanagement?

No effing longer, that's how long. Now the add-in developers who provided the fixes ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED to use this POS have abandoned it. Case in point, since the "developers" of the browser have never included the ability to load tabs progressively one-at-a-time, (an absolute necessity after one the "every three to minute" crashes), a heroic developer, in the actual sense of the term, gave us a tool that allowed us to workaround this criminal mismanagement. Alas, he apparently has has enough of the "let's break every add-in every freaking week" criminality and is no longer updating his plugin.

Another case in point is that NOT ONE of the several Flash block and YouTube autoplay stop plugins have been updated for the last several "updates".

Who knows how long Tab Mix Plus will be updated?

Without these three plugins; the browser is quite simply UNUSEABLE!!!!!!!!

Some attempts at support, which I'm not sure you want, but since that's why I'm here:

(1) Crashes every five minutes

Can you post a few crash IDs to aid in diagnosis? This article describes how to extract those from the about:crashes page: Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly).

Q: Do you use the Tab Mix Plus session manager or the Session Manager extension?

(2) Session restore - too many tabs loading

The only built-in setting for this is in the Tab options: "Don't load tabs until selected" which only loads the active tab in each window by default.

Q: What is the extension that is no longer being updated?

(3) Flash blocking

With the option of click-to-activate and the recent inclusion of site-specific plugin permissions, you might no longer need a separate Flash blocking extension. I haven't tried these features myself.

(4) Download directory

You can turn off site-specific download directories by creating a preference in about:config. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/922886#answer-319214

(5) High memory use

These issues can be hard to diagnose and replicate as they sometimes relate to a site-specific behavior or an extension. To see whether there is a problem with JavaScript garbage collection, you can try one or more of the "Free memory" buttons on the about:memory page.

(6) Youtube Auto-play

Have you seen this extension? SmartVideo For YouTube (The reviews note a bug that 1080p is not available...) I haven't tried it myself.
