How do I set Firefox 10.0.0.2 to open up automatically with the URL bar highlighted?

In the previous version, the URL search bar was highlighted when any tab was open. This facilitated easy searching right out of the URL bar without having to use ctrl+l to get there. Is there anyway to set the new version to automatically highlight the URL bar when a tab is opened?

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
