Google is my homepage and I want to get rid of Firefox3.6 Choose Your Persona appearing every time I want to use the internet!

I am a total computer novice. 

My laptop is set for Google to be my homepage.
However, evey time I go to use the internet, the Google page comes up, but is accompanied by .Firefox3.6 Choose your Persona, opening over the top of Google. It is very annoying and I want to stop it happening!

I want Google to come up, not Firefox.
