I have to "refresh" my bookmarks almost every time I open my browser, and sometime it takes many attempts.

My bookmarks do not open from the icon I have in my Yahoo toolbar. I constantly have to "refresh" it, which I put in quotes because that doesn't work most of the time.

Sounds like a question for Yahoo Toolbar support.

I did try Yahoo Toolbar help, and they passed the buck, just like you :) (No malice intended) And being that I never have the problem with Internet Explorer, I figure it's Firefox, not Yahoo.

If the Yahoo toolbar loads those bookmarks from the Yahoo server then it sounds to me like a Yahoo problem. You can try to disable all other extension and some plugins as well to test if one of them is interfering.
