How can I get my bookmarks back on the sidebar?

Yesterday morning i had sidebar bookmarks. Then when I turned my desktop back on in the evening it was gone. I have a few "tabs" on top which I do not like at all. I can't find my bookmarks, other than recent ones. How can I get my bookmarks back on the sidebar? I need some sort of fix please, to get my bookmarks back on the sidebar where they were.

Hello,

Please clarify, what exactly you mean. Are you unable to see the Bookmarks icon or the Bookmarks toolbar? Could you attach some screenshots?
