There is a regularly scheduled major update every 4 weeks; Firefox 107.0 was released on Tuesday.
Often there is one minor fix in between major releases for a major problem that can't wait. Firefox 106 had five intermediate fixes, which is very unusual and we can only hope it won't be needed again any time soon.
