Since 2 updates ago fire fox has been very slow and stopped responding, I have followed your sugestions with out any improveent, do I have to change to another

You did not say what you did, so you may be told to do it again.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
