Is it possible that adobe flash player is somehow blocking some of the emails sent to me, which are not coming through & are not showing being bounced by sender

I use firefox with my aim.com email address. I recently heard from a friend that they have sent me emails, but I never got them. A few emails that are sent to me, including paypal do not go through, yet they are not shown to the sender as being rejected. It seems when I installed adobe flash player on my mac that this started happening. Is their a connection.
