I have some sites that I visit specific pages on. For example, https://www.futilitycloset.com/category/technology/. When I start typing "fu", Firefox suggests first the base domain, futilitycloset.com, even though I never go to the main page. I've tried using shift+delete when the base domain is selected, but it's still there the next time I type "fu". Is this possible?

The suggestions that appear inside the URL bar are always the top level. If those are never useful, you can turn that feature off and use the drop-down for the specific URLs (or searches). Here how you would do that:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste URLB and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.urlbar.autoFill preference to switch the value from true to false
