Hello

I just patched Firefox to 44.0.2 and the URL and Bookmark bar are greyed out. I can still use it, but it looks horrible. I've tried disabling every single addon, without success. Screenshot is added.

Thank you.

You would have to use code in userChrome.css to achieve this without using an extension.

The Navigation Toolbar looks OK to me, other than the color - is that a Theme that you have installed?

Look to the far right-side of the Bookmarks Toolbar (the one with the Games folder on the left) - that >> (double-ellipsis) shows that the contents that are missing are in "overflow" - click on that >> and you'll see what is missing in a drop-down column.

That is an indication that something you installed or some customization you have done to the Bookmarks isn't compatible with Firefox 44.0.2.

Have you added anything other than bookmarks and bookmark folders to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

Are you using a lightweight theme (Persona) or are in private browsing mode?

Try the CTR extension and look at the setting(s) in the CTR Options/Preferences here:

  • CTR Options > Toolbars (3)

Hello It is just censored in the picture, there are normally more bookmarks. Everything right there, I just forget to mention, sorry about that. To the first question: Yes, I have installed a theme, its "Dark Fox". I've tested another another theme which is just black (which is in the picture), but it also looks ugly. https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/themes/?sort=popular But before I installed the newest Version of Firefox it was just Black. The greyed out part was also black, which now just looks wierd.

Hello, as mentioned above I use "Dark Fox". And no, I am not in the private mode, in private mode everything looks normal(default theme).

About the CTR extension. If I enable those 2 options, it looks how it should looks, perfectly fine without a grey overlay. (The options translated in english are: Blabla remove Background Color.) Where can I find this setting in FF without the CTR-Tool?

EDIT: Updated the picture, should be more clear now.

HOW TO REMOVE Firefox 44.0.2 (20160210153822) Installed on Friday, February 12, 2016, 2:10:13AM? I want to remove this thing. Remove.

I cannot cut and paste from the internet after this thing was added. Also have "greyed out" icons, which are ugly, but I can live with ugly. I cannot live without "cut and paste" on the internet. Off the internet cut and paste works fine.
